SUMMARY Smart Land Administration Systems (SLAS), as an interdisciplinary field with technical, legal, and economic dimensions, aim to implement modern land policies, support market functions, and foster the development of smart cities characterized by creativity and innovation. The Cadastre as a reliable geospatial infrastructure and access to land ownership status through appropriate mechanisms and policies, such as securing property rights, the financial system, tax policy, and transparency in planning and land use at individual, collective, and state levels. Integration of property values as essential information in SLAS with spatial reference. Utilizing the capabilities of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Expert Systems (ES) as tools for managing and visualizing information, knowledge, and innovation to solve complex problems and make decisions. An interdisciplinary approach to collecting, georeferencing, describing, interpreting, and presenting spatial data of the physical, technical, and socio-economic environment for spatial planning, using these modern methods and cutting-edge technologies.
CONTENT Week 1: Basic concepts, relationships, interdependencies, and interactions in Land Management issues in Greece and internationally, critical approach. Introduction to the Project. 
Week 2: National Cadastre as a foundation for development: institutional framework, objectives, problems, and prospects. 
Week 3: Land structure: public, private, community lands, ecclesiastical, and monastic real estate. 
Week 4: Land Uses: types, forms, sizes, land registration, planning, and monitoring changes, definition of Land Policy. Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Expert Systems.Symbolic Knowledge Representation. 
Week 5: Planning tools, Spatial Planning, European directives, and land policy measures for Greece.
Week 6: Forest areas - registration and related issues. Symbolic methods for drawing conclusions and decision control processes.
Week 7: Rural area: form, sizes, structure, status, and productivity of farms. Existing records and registers. Representation and inference with uncertain or fuzzy knowledge. Architecture of expert systems. 
Week 8: Special cases of administration systems, e.g., for the marine space, urban environment, etc. Steps to develop an expert system. Programming languages and tools for developing expert systems. Review of expert systems in Geosciences. 
Week 9: Property Value and Tax Policy: tax policy measures andregistration and valuation systems. Nexpert Object: basic functions and use in creating an expert system.
Week 10: GIS technology in the service of Real Estate, Investments, and Development. 
Week 11: Urbanization: evolution in relation to land policy measures. Modern urban centers, smart cities, and 3D Cadastre. 
Week 12: Internationl trends and developments, prospects in Land Administration Systems. Needs and data, E-governance, GIS, decision-making systems, "National Geospatial Information Infrastructure". 
Week 13: Presentation of projects - discussion.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
To acquaint the student with the basic technical, legal and economic concepts related to land ownership and management, as well as the complex processes of formation, structure, and change of land uses, within a framework of institutional regulations, rules, measures, and Land Policy options. This process involves geoinformatics sciences, geographic information systems (GIS), modern land management and administration systems, as well as understanding the current legal framework and practices from both Greek and international contexts.
